- By His wounds we are healed (I know- its been said a million times but before it gets to this awesome part it says, "When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness." 1 Peter 2:23-24 - so awesome that He loved us SO much!)
- Love one another deeply, from the heart ( 1 Peter 1:22)
- A gentle and quiet spirit is of great worth to God (1 Peter 3:4)
- Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (1 Peter 3:15)
- Above all love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins, offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:8-10)

Restart
I started this blog about a year ago, but my posts were random and rare, so I decided to start fresh! So here is where we are in life right now....
Steven and I have been married for five years. We have a beautiful little girl, Lily, who will be four years old in three weeks, and we are also expecting a little boy at the beginning of December. We just started back attending Trinity Praise Center, and absolutely believe it is where God wants us. Lily is darling and precocious and extremely smart. She attends preschool at First Presbyterian three days a week, and is soooo excited about her birthday coming up. Normally, I would have almost every detail of her party already planned out at this point, but due to pregnancy indecisiveness, I am just now getting started! Pregnancy is not fun. I'm very blessed and thankful for our sweet bundle of joy on the way, but I am not a happy pregnancy camper. That's all I will say about that, or my blog will quickly turn into a long list of whiny complaints. I'll save that for Steven.
I am working on being more transparent and real. I tend to want to be a perfectionist, and am working on accepting that things are not always perfect, everything cannot be in my control (and its best that way!), and God has a much better plan for my life than I could ever come up with on my own. I want to figure everything out and know every little detail, and am coming to the realization that I can't. It has been sweet surrender to trust God with all of that- knowing that when I do my best, and trust in Him, He will work out all the rest!
I intended this to be longer, but Lily is begging me to come help her find one of the socks that I JUST handed her to put on. How does that happen???
